Burke Associates, Inc., is an evolved corporation formed in 1988 as a result of a buyout of James Burke & Associates, Inc., by the Vice President and major shareholder of 22 years at that time, John F. Cunningham. James Burke & Associates, Inc., was a Colorado corporation formed in 1966, to provide mechanical and electrical engineering services for industrial, commercial, educational, and institutional buildings.

For 41 years, we have been serving western Colorado in the areas of mechanical design, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, piping, fire protection, lighting, electrical power distribution, fire alarm and related special systems.

Our size gives us the freedom of using our most knowledgeable and experienced personnel in both engineering and design capacities rather than having this capability lost in administrative functions.

The firm is dedicated to providing an accurate, comprehensive, and technically proficient engineering service utilizing innovative ideas meshed with proven design concepts. Our policy to our clients is to provide the best of services and expertise for workable systems within cost guidelines. In addition to design drawings and specifications, our services include studies reports, energy use analysis, life cycle costing, construction work progress review, project coordination and system operating instructions. The latest computer techniques are used for problem solving and system analysis.
The firm is fully insured carrying general liability and errors and omissions insurance. We are registered in eight states.
